Demi Rose Mawby fears for her safety after being repeatedly propositioned by delivery drivers
British model Demi Rose Mawby has been left fearing for her safety after being repeatedly propositioned by delivery men.
The 22-year-old - who was romantically linked to Kylie Jenner's ex Tyga - said she was “really p****d off” and would no longer have packages delivered to her London home.
The Birmingham-born model said she had twice been propositioned by delivery men after she gave her name, address and phone number when ordering goods for her new address.
“I’m sick of it, it’s not safe for me,” she told the Birmingham Mail .
“I don’t understand what I’m meant to do.
“I’m just a girl – I just want to get things ordered.
“Today or tomorrow I could open the door to the wrong person.”
Demi Rose said a delivery man asked for her phone number after he dropped off a cat climber at her home on Thursday.
She said it happened as she accepted the delivery in her gym gear – and he abused her personal details to text her even after she rebuffed his advances.
Demi Rose claimed an earlier incident involved an Argos delivery worker – who texted her but begged her not to tell his bosses.
“I got the delivery off this guy and I’m walking him out,” she said on her Snapchat account.
“He says to me: ‘Can I get that number?’
“I said: ‘What number?’
“He said: ‘Your number’.
“I said: ‘No, absolutely not. What do I need to say to you? It’s a delivery service.’
“Honestly, and this happened to me before.
“I got a delivery and then I got a text from Argos saying: ‘It’s your delivery guy, I would like to take you out – please don’t tell Argos.’
“I have recently moved to London and I’ve had to get things delivered here.
“After this, I don’t want any more deliveries.
“I’m not trying to be flirty with anyone – I don’t know what I need to wear next time.
“I’m in gym gear, I just slept in this.”
Demi Rose tweeted: “I’ve been safe so far but that’s what why I’m stopping all deliveries to my house because it does take one sick person to go a step further.”
The model has rocketed to fame over the past few years and has been dubbed the UK’s “Queen of Instagram”.
The former Walsall College health and beauty student has almost six million followers on the photo-sharing website, as well as more than 480,000 Twitter followers.
Last month, she posted a picture on dating app Huggle amid speculation she was looking for love .
It’s a far cry from her early life in Sutton, where she attended New Oscott primary and John Willmott secondary schools.
Her life changed when she moved to the US to work as a model after finishing her college course.
Her parents Barrie and Christine previously told of their pride in her.
Former NHS wheelchair advisor Christine said: “Her friend had a modelling book.
“Demi Rose didn’t think she was quite good enough but she excelled in beauty school and it her made her ambitious to pursue her dreams.
“We don’t mind at all. She always said she wouldn’t do nudity, not that we’ve told her not to.
“Her pictures are racy and suggestive but she shows them all to us.
“We’re right behind her. She’s such a beautiful girl, why shouldn’t she? If you’ve got it, flaunt it.
“She’s very kind and a really down-to-earth girl – nothing like what we are seeing in the press.
“When she’s at home she’s perfectly normal.
“She loves her cat Raggles and her dog Leo. She’s a great cook and is a homebody.”
